Allens Arthur Robinson was proud to support Rugby World Cup 2003 as the Official Law Firm. Around two million Australians attended matches, with millions more watching around the world.
As an Asia Pacific firm, Allens provided the full range of legal services, but the emphasis was upon protection of trade marks and other intellectual property rights and litigation, sports law issues and broadcasting and commercial issues. The Allens team was led by two senior partners, Richard Alcock and Jim Dwyer.
"Having been involved in other high-profile international sporting events, our firm was delighted to be involved with Rugby World Cup," said Mr Alcock.
We received fantastic feedback on our Rugby Shootout game and 131,158 players had a go during the competition period (note: this is not an official game of Rugby World Cup 2003).
We look forward to the next Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in 2011.
